Sharon Kahen permitted for 139-unit mixed-use building in East Harlem
Sharon Kahen of Golani Development Group LLC, on June 13, received a permit for construction of a 139-unit, 107,218-square-foot mixed-use building at 202 East 120th Street in East Harlem. The permits issued were foundation permits.
The plans, pre-filed on April 8, 2019, call for the construction of a 213-foot tall, 21-story mixed-use building.
The zoning lot includes multiple tax lots. The lot has a width of 100 feet.
The project is described in the filings as: proposed one new 21-story mixed-use building with 139 dwelling units including mandatory inclusionary housing, commercial and community facility in the ground floor.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a house of worship, residential lobby, and retail space. Floors two through 11 will each have eight dwelling units per floor, the 12th floor will have three dwelling units and recreation space, floors 13 and 14 will each have seven dwelling units per floor, and floors 15 through 21 will each have six dwelling units per floor. The roof will have public and private recreation spaces.
The property was acquired for $10 million on January 31, 2019.
