Services for the UnderServed permitted for 316-unit mixed-use building in Morris Heights

Services for the UnderServed, on June 21, received a permit for construction of a 316-unit, 253,587-square-foot residential building at 1600 Grand Avenue in Morris Heights, the Bronx. Arlo Chase, senior vice president of real estate and property development at Services for the UnderServed, filed the plans.

The plans call for the construction of the most dwelling units in the neighborhood since the start of 2020.

The plans, pre-filed on February 18, 2020, call for the construction of a 145-foot tall, 14-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, community space, play room, fitness room, and nine dwelling units. The second floor will have a terrace and 21 dwelling units. The remaining dwelling units will span the upper floors of the building.
