Savanna completes second floor rehab of Berkeley Building

Savanna, on April 23, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for a $1,000 change in use of one floor of the 231,948-square-foot office building at 19 West 44th Street in Grand Central.

The plans call for no change in size but a change in use of the second floor of the 160-foot tall, 16-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: filing herewith drawings indicating increasing the occupant load for the 2nd floor for the change of use from offices and school to offices for the entire floor. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $1,000.

The property was acquired for $195.0 million on October 16, 2017.
