Sarana Development files plans for 61-unit resi building in Sunnyside

Sarana Development, on December 15, filed a permit application for construction of a 61-unit, 41,852-square-foot residential building at 43-12 50th Street in Sunnyside, Queens. Matthew Lawrence, a principal at the company, filed the plans.

These are only the second new building plans filed in the neighborhood this year.

The plans call for the construction of a 80-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00636484. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed a new eight-story and cellar residential building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a recreation room and three dwelling units. The second floor will have recreation room and six dwelling units. Floors three through six will each have nine dwelling units per floor, and floors seven and eight will each have eight dwelling units per floor.

The architect listed is Durodeco Architecture & Engineering.
