Sabharwal Properties permitted three-family West Village building to single-family
Sabharwal Properties, on March 8, was given a permit for a $1 million project which will convert a three-family residential building to single-family use at 73 Washington Place in the West Village.
The plans, pre-filed on October 6, 2020, call for the increase in the size of the building from a 50-foot tall, five-story building with three units to a 60-foot tall, six-story, 7,135-square-foot building with one unit.
The project is described in the filings as: convert existing multiple dwelling building to single-family dwelling. Addition of 5th floor. Extend cellar, first, second, third, and forth floors at rear of building. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $1,000,000.
In addition to the conversion of the dwelling units, the project will add an exercise room and recreation room to the building’s cellar.

The property was acquired for $10 million on October 22, 2014.
