State agency files plans for $2M rehab of garage on Roosevelt Island

The Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation, a state benefit corporation, on June 26, filed a permit application for a $1.9 million renovation of multiple stories of a parking garage on Roosevelt Island.

The plans call for a rehab of floors three through eight in the 75-foot tall, eight-story parking garage building.

The project is described in the filings as: application is filed for concrete repair of exposed ceiling at ground level, facade & stairwells (for south portion only) of existing motor gate garage. No change in use, exits and/or occupancy.

AEG, Architecture and Engineering Group is the architect listed.

In January of 2019, the Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation filed plans to increase the number of spaces in the garage.
