Rockefeller finishes $6M rehab of 1271 Avenue of the Americas

Rockefeller Group, on May 26, formally completed a $6 million build-out of two floors of a building at 1271 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown West. The building was formerly known as the Time-Life Building.

The plans, pre-filed on March 17, 2020, call for work on the cellar and floors 11 and 12 of the 574-foot tall, 47-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: interior build-out on floors cellar,11 and 12 for general construction as indicated on plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $6,002,000.

Gensler was the architect.

The developer has completed several build-out projects at the building this month, such as an $8.9 million build-out of two floors on May 14 and a $12.7 million build-out of four floors on May 19.
