Rockefeller finishes $12.7 multi-floor build-out at 1271 Avenue of the Americas

Rockefeller Group, on May 19, formally completed a $12.7 million build-out of four floors of a building at 1271 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown West. The building was formerly known as the Time-Life Building.

The plans, pre-filed on March 17, 2020, call for a build-out of floors 34, and 36 through 38 of the 574-foot tall, 47-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: interior build-out on floors 34, 36, 37, and 38 for general construction as indicated on plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $12,727,000.

Gensler was the architect.

Earlier this month, the developer completed an $8.9 million build-out of two floors of the building.
