REEC to demolish two-story building in East Harlem where it signed $27M lease

Brandon Miller and Mark Seigel’s Real Estate Equities Corporation, on October 19, filed a permit application for the demolition of a 33,736-square-foot building at 2226 Third Avenue in East Harlem.

The plans call for the demolition of a building. The building occupies an 18,973-square-foot lot, according to city records.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of two-story commercial building.

The developers signed a 99-year lease with Lawrence Khedouri’s Khedouri Associates valued at $27.4 million for the property in March. The Khedouri family has owned the parcel for more than 70 years.

No new building plans have been filed yet.
