Real Estate Equities Corporation, on December 24, filed a permit application for construction of a 134,306-square-foot office building at 2226 Third Avenue in East Harlem.
The plans call for the construction of a 145-foot tall, 10-story, mixed-use office building. Brandon Klein was the owner representative on the application.
The project is described in the filings as: construct new 10-story mixed-use building as per plans filed.
The ground floor will have a commercial lobby, office space, and tenant space, per the plans. The upper floors are each described as tenant space, in the plan’s Schedule A.
DXA studio is listed as the architect for the project.
Demolition plans were filed in October for the retail building on the site.
The current building houses the American Outlet clothing store, a Kennedy Fried Chicken and a third space that was formerly occupied by the clothing store Jans.
