Apex Investments files plans for 97-key hotel at newly purchased Greenpoint site

Apex Investments, on December 23, filed a permit application for construction of a 97-unit, 34,685-square-foot hotel building at 83 Apollo Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

The firm purchased the property for $10.6 million the same week the new building plans were filed. The deal closed on December 16, 2020, and was recorded on December 24, 2020.

The plans call for the construction of a 46-foot tall, four-story hotel. The owner representative was Apex Managing Director Kasra Sanandaji, but the last name was misspelled in the filing as Sanaddaji.

The project is described in the filings as: herewith filing four-story new residential building (R-1: transient hotel).

Per the plans, the ground floor will have a lobby, office space, storage space, conference rooms, a staff lounge, and a cafeteria. The second floor will have 31 rooms, while floors three and four will have 33 rooms per floor.

Think! Architecture & Design PLLC will be in charge of the design.

Demolition plans were filed in October for the single-story structure on the property.
