RAL Companies files plans for $4M exterior rehab of condo with $702M sellout in Brooklyn Heights

RAL Companies, on October 8, filed a permit application for $4 million of exterior work on a condominium building, known as One Brooklyn Bridge Park, at 360 Furman Street in Brooklyn Heights.

The plans call for a rehab of the facade of the 226-foot tall, 16-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: facade repair as indicated on the attached drawings. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,973,716.

The one million plus square foot condo, which has 438 units, has a current sellout price of $702.1 million with the New York State Attorney General.

On July 1, 2005, $40 million A1 plans were filed with the NYC Department of Buildings to convert the building to a mixed-use condominium. The plans were filed by Robert A. Levine, the founder of RAL. Ian Levine, who later left RAL and founded Spandrel Development Partners, is listed as the condo second officer on the filing.

According to RAL’s website, the redevelopment was the largest residential conversion in Brooklyn’s history.
