Rabsky Group permitted for 118 units in East Williamsburg

Rabsky Group, on February 1, was given permits for construction of a 60-unit, 119,762-square-foot mixed-use building at 251 Wallabout Street in East Williamsburg and for construction of a 58-unit, 159,098-square-foot mixed-use building at 269 Wallabout Street in East Williamsburg. Simon Dushinsky, co-owner of Rabsky Group, filed both of the plans.

Both of the permits issued were new building permits. The developments received their initial foundation permits this past fall.

The properties were purchased in 2012 from Pfizer for $12.8 million.

The two developments were filed in conjunction with two additional Rabsky buildings, calling for a 77-unit building at 34 Union Avenue and a 39-unit building at 58 Union Avenue. Both of those developments are awaiting permits.

The first plans, pre-filed on April 16, 2018, call for the construction of a 95-foot tall, nine-story, 119,762-square-foot mixed-use building with 60 residential units at 251 Wallabout Street.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed nine-story mixed-use new building as per plans.

The ground floor of the building will have commercial spaces and a residential lobby, per the plans. The second floor will have community space. Floors three through eight will each have 10 dwelling units per floor, while the ninth floor will have recreational space.
