Property Markets Group files plans to demolish 25K sf Gowanus warehouse

Property Markets Group, on October 15, filed a permit application for the demolition of a 25,430-square-foot warehouse building at 403 Carroll Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Richard Lam, a principal with PMG, filed the plans.

The developer purchased the property for $14 million on December 4, 2012. At the time, Lam said that PMG did not have plans for the site and were instead just looking for opportunities to invest and reposition properties.

Now, with a plan to rezone 82 blocks of the neighborhood heading to City Council, it seems that PMG will look to capitalize on the new development opportunities that could become available at the site soon.

The plans call for the demolition of the single-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of one story structure using hand held and mechanical means to assist.
