Procida Companies permitted for 208-unit mixed-use building in Brownsville

Procida Companies, on May 4, received a permit for construction of a 208-unit, 187,196-square-foot mixed-use building at 589 Christopher Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The building will have a north and south tower.

The plans are the second largest, in terms of residential dwelling units, filed in the Brownsville neighborhood in the previous five years.

The plans, pre-filed on September 9, 2019, call for the construction of a 94-foot tall, 11-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new 11-story, mixed-use building as per plans filed.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have multiple retail spaces, recreation space, an exercise room, and a lobby. Residential dwelling units will span the upper floors of both towers.
