Plans permitted for 23-unit mixed-use building in Claremont
Yaniv Levy through the company 1699 Topping Ave. LLC, on April 19, was given a permit for construction of a 23-unit, 17,228-square-foot mixed-use building at 1699 Topping Avenue in Claremont.
The permit issued was a plumbing permit. The developer received initial new building permits in December.
The plans, pre-filed on March 2, 2018, call for the construction of a 65-foot tall, seven-story, 17,228-square-foot mixed-use building with 23 residential units.
The project is described in the filings as: proposed new mixed-use seven-story residential with community facility on ground floor building.
According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and health care facility. Floors two through six will each have four dwelling units per floor, each with a private terrace, while the seventh floor will have three dwelling units, also with private terraces. The building also will have recreation space on the seventh floor and seven parking spaces outside the building.

Demolition plans were filed in April of 2018. The plans were permitted the following year but have not been completed.
The property was acquired for $750,000 on March 21, 2018.
