Plans filed to demolish 3-story commercial building in Bed-Stuy
Fikret Kalabalik through the company Ryan & Nicolle LLC, on April 19, filed a permit application for the demolition of a commercial building at 1241 Bedford Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
The plans call for the demolition of the building.
The project is described in the filings as: full handheld demolition of an existing commercial three-story structure.
No new building plans have been filed in either BIS Web or the city’s DOB NOW platform and it is unclear what the developer plans to do with the site.
The building was purchased in 2002 for $800,000, according to city records. Per the building’s most recent Schedule A, the ground floor of the existing building is used for store space, while floors two and three are used for office space.
