Plans filed for seven-story mixed-use building in Kensington

Ren Da Chen through the company 28 Property LLC, on May 6, filed a permit application for construction of an eight-unit, 12,024-square-foot residential building at 5306 9th Avenue in Kensington, Brooklyn.

The plans call for the construction of a 70-foot tall, seven-story mixed-use building, and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number B00517128. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed seven-story mixed-use building with community facility at first and second floor, and residential on third through seventh floor.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby. The second floor will have a health care facility. Floors three through five will each have two dwelling units per floor. The sixth floor will have one dwelling unit and the lower half of a duplex unit, the upper half of which will be on the seventh floor. The cellar will have laundry.

Angelo Ng + Anthony Ng Architects Studio is listed as the architect.

The property was acquired for $2.1 million on August 26, 2020.
