Plans filed for for $2.8M project at Amazon’s 424 Fifth Ave.

On January 3, plans were filed for a $2.8 million project at Amazon’s 424 Fifth Avenue, commonly referred to as the Lord & Taylor building, in the Garment District, Manhattan. Seneca Group, a Seattle-based construction management and advisory firm, filed the plans.

Last month several alteration plans were filed for a total of $67.1 million of work at the building. In total, plans were filed for $71,925,311 of work at the building in 2021.

According to reports, the e-commerce giant expects to fully occupy the Lord & Taylor building by 2023.

These plans call for a rehab of the 197-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00625358.

The project is described in the filing as: Structural modifications on floors five through seven and SC1 package 4 as per plans filed herewith. No change to use, egress, or occupancy.
