Plans filed for conversion of Crown Heights building to 47-unit shelter

Ruben Badalov, on December 22, filed plans for a project to convert a three-story residential building at 1277 Lincoln Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, to a 47-unit shelter.

The plans call for the increase in size and change in use of the building from a 30-foot tall, three-story building to a 77-foot tall, seven-story building with 47 dwelling units. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00632886.

The project is described in the filing as: horizontal and vertical enlargement: proposed community facility welfare center with sleeping accommodations as per plan.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have an office space and a lobby. Floors two through six will each have eight dwelling units per floor, while the seventh floor will have seven units. The cellar of the building will have additional office space and storage space.

The architect listed is Acv Design LTD.

The property was acquired for $1.3 million on September 24, 2019.
