Plans filed for $5M project to increase building’s unit count from 11 to 30 in Clinton Hill

On August 11, plans were filed for a $5 million project which aims to increase the unit count from 11 to 30 in a residential building at 13 Lexington Avenue in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The plans were filed by Charles Mcinnis.

According to city records, the building was purchased by Myron Siegel in the late 1984. Siegel filed plans with the city’s DOB in the late 1990s to convert the building to residential. The building had previously been used as a shoe manufacturing site.

The plans call for the increase in size of the building from a 52-foot tall, four-story building with 11 dwelling units to a 52-foot tall, five-story building with 30 dwelling units. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00572546.

According to the PW1, the project will increase the size of the building by 38,024 square feet. PincusCo was unable to get in contact with the filing representative. The architect listed, Archimaera Architecture PC., did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The project is described in the filing as: Alt -1 type application conversion from non-conforming use to multiple dwelling.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will be converted to a residential lobby and medical offices. However, the plans do not mention any of the new residential units.
