Plans filed for 40-unit mixed-use building at newly purchased Hunts Point parcel

Greg Harvey though the company Masani Holding Company Corp, on February 12, filed a permit application for construction of a 40-unit, 21,231-square-foot mixed-use building at 883 Bryant Avenue in Hunts Point.

The property was acquired for $630,000 on January 25, 2021.

The plans call for the construction of a 80-foot tall, eight-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed eight-story, mixed-use, new building with forty dwelling units and community facility on the ground floor.

The ground floor of the building will have an ambulatory diagnostic facility, recreational room, laundry room, and residential lobby. Floors two through six will each have six dwelling units per floor, while floors seven and eight will each have five dwelling units per floor.

Gerald J. Caliendo is listed as the architect.

In 2018 the previous owner of the property filed plans for a 28-unit residential building at the property. Those plans were ultimately disapproved.
