Plans filed for $2M exterior rehab at Columbia University building in Morningside Heights
Columbia University, on November 30, filed a permit application for a $2 million exterior rehabilitation of a Morningside Heights campus building at 535 West 116th Street in Morningside Heights.
The plans call for a rehab of the exterior stairs of the 75-foot tall, seven-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: repair and replacement of portions of exterior stairs due to water infiltration as shown on drawings submitted herewith. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,000,000.
These are the first plans filed at the building this year.
The university recently completed a $34.1 million rehab of a building’s exterior at its Manhattanville campus, at 631 West 130th Street in Manhattanville.
