Plans filed for 22K sf health facility in Red Hook

Aaron Lebovits, on August 17, filed a permit application for construction of a 22,431-square-foot community facility building at 218 Hamilton Avenue in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

The plans call for the construction of a 40-foot-tall, four-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00574028. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed four-story and cellar community facility building.

Floors one through three will each be used for health treatment space. The lobby will be located in the basement, along with parking for 38 cars.

The scope of work does not mention a fourth floor.

The architect listed is Studio Gallos.

The job is estimated to cost just under $2 million.

The property was acquired for $1.9 million on October 19, 2017.

Other active development in the neighborhood includes BHLD Capital’s plans for the construction of a 33-foot tall, three-story, 31,028-square-foot condominium with 22 units at 199 Conover Street. The developer received permits for the project last November and then filed condo plans with the NYS AG this past May.
