Developer files plans for 35-unit resi building at newly purchased Astoria site

Aleksandr Finkelshteyn, on August 17, filed a permit application for construction of a 35-unit, 24,279-square-foot building at 11-32 31st Drive in Astoria, Queens.

The developer purchased the property for $4.8 million on July 28, 2021. The deal was recorded earlier this month on August 13.

The plans call for the construction of a 84-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00567413. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed eight-story, 35-family residential building as per plans filed herewith.

Per the plans the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby, recreation space, and enclosed parking for five off street parking spaces. Floors two through five will each have six dwelling units per floor, floors six and seven will each have four dwelling units per floor, while the eighth floor will have three dwelling units.

The architect listed is Design Studio Associates.

The developer Mohammed Islam recently filed a permit application for the construction of a 70-foot-tall, seven-story, 24,227-square-foot residential building with 25 dwelling units at 31-48 Crescent Street in the neighborhood.
