Plans filed for $1.4M project to add community space to Kensington commercial building
Shlomie Bierman, on August 4, filed plans for a $1.4 million project to double the size of a commercial building by adding community space at 4804 13th Avenue in Kensington, Brooklyn. The project will increase the building’s size to 18,686 square feet.
The plans call for the increase in size of the building from a 25-foot tall, two-story building a 60-foot tall, four-story building. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00551045.
The project is described in the filing as: accepted into DevHub 7/26/21 vertical and horizontal enlargement to existing two-story and cellar commercial building. Convert to four-story, mezzanine, cellar, commercial, and community facility building.
According to the plans, the retail space on the first floor and commercial space on the second floor will remain the same. The newly constructed third and fourth floors will be used for community space and a community center, respectively.
The property was acquired for $4.8 million on August 13, 2018.
