Pillar Property permitted for 42K sf school in Morrisania
Pillar Property, on March 17, was given a permit for construction of a 42,307-square-foot school building at 808 Cauldwell Avenue in Morrisania, the Bronx. Kiumarz Geula filed the plans.
The developer received both foundation and new building permits.
The plans, pre-filed on July 24, 2020, call for the construction of a 74-foot-tall, five-story, 42,307-square-foot building.
The project is described in the filings as: filing for approval to erect a new five-story and cellar educational facility building as per plans filed. Obtain a new certificate of occupancy upon completion.
The ground floor of the building will have a lobby, office space, meeting room, and teachers room, per the plans. Floors two through four will each have classroom and storage space. The fifth floor and mezzanine will have a gym. The cellar will have a cafeteria, storage, and classroom space.
Monica Lopez Architect LLC is listed as the architect.
Demolition plans were filed in October 2019 and completed last year.
An estimated completion date has not been announced.
The developer signed a loan agreement with lender Bank Of Hope valued at $14.8 million for two parcels at 808 Cauldwell Avenue and 813 Trinity Avenue last month.
