Pillar Property files plans for a 42K sf community facility building in South Bronx
Pillar Property Management, on July 24, filed a permit application for construction of a 42,307-square-foot community facility building at 808 Cauldwell Avenue in the Woodstock neighborhood of the Bronx.
The plans call for the construction of a 74-foot tall, 5-story building. Kiumarz Geula, of Pillar, was the owner’s representative on the filing.
The project is described in the filings as: filing for approval to erect a new five-story and cellar educational facility building as per plans filed. obtain a new certificate of occupancy upon completion.
The cellar will have a cafeteria, storage rooms, kitchen storage, and classrooms, according to the plans. The ground floor will have offices, a meeting room, teacher’s room, storage rooms, nurse’s room, copy room, reception, vestibule, and lobby. Floors two through four will each be used for classrooms, storage rooms, a copy room, and an office. The fifth floor/mezzanine will have a gym and changing room. It is unclear to what grades this school will be used for.
The outside of the building will have play areas and parking for two cars.
Demolition plans were filed in October of 2019.
