Piedmont Office Realty files $1M project for small occupancy increase at 60 Broad Street

Piedmont Office Realty Trust, on June 25, filed a permit application for a $992,000 project to add office space and meeting rooms to a commercial building at 60 Broad Street in the Financial District.

The plans call for an increase in office space on the second floor and the addition of meeting rooms on floors five and seven of the 495-foot tall, 38-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: increase of occupant load on second floor and establishment of place of assembly on fifth and seventh floors as per plans filed herewith. Energy analysis filed under OT- energy application 140899712.

The project will increase the occupancy load of the second floor office space from 203 individuals to 415 individuals, according to the plans. Meeting rooms will be added to the fifth and seventh floors, with room for 145 and 123 individuals respectively.

Milrose Consultants is the architect on the application.

On June 18, Piedmont filed plans for a $13.5 million rehab of floors 7 through 10 of the building.

Piedmont bought the building in 2003 for $213.6 million.
