Phipps Houses files for 436-unit mixed-use building, most units planned in Cypress Hills in 20 years
Phipps Houses, on December 27, filed a permit application for construction of a 436-unit, 408,695-square-foot mixed-use building at 254 Euclid Avenue in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Michael Wadman, Vice President of Phipps, filed the plans.
According to an analysis of new building plans filed with the city’s Department of Buildings, the plans call for the construction of the most dwelling units in the neighborhood in at least the last 20 years.
The plans call for the construction of a 142-foot-tall, 14-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00640786. The development site spans three tax lots.
The project is described in the filing as: construct new 14-story mixed-use building as per plans filed.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have community space, an office, lounge, computer library, lobbies, and 15 dwelling units. Floors two and three will each have 37 dwelling units. Floors four through eight will each have 46 dwelling units per floor. Floors nine and 10 will each have 24 dwelling units. Floors 11 through 14 will each have 17 dwelling units per floor.
