Permit issued for $5.8M multi-floor rehab of Staybridge Suites hotel in Hudson Yards

Krishna (K.K.) Mehta and Atlas Hospitality, on October 19, were given a permit for a $5.8 million rehabilitation of several floors of a 10-year-old hotel building at 340 West 40th Street in Hudson Yards.

The plans, pre-filed on May 11, call for a rehabilitation of floors three through 32 of the 310-foot tall, 32-story, building. The hotel received its initial temporary certificate of occupancy in March of 2010.

The project is described in the filings as: interior alteration to the existing hotel room interior. Work includes partition changes. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $5,770,406.

Lu Ning Architecture, PLLC is the architect for the project.

The joint venture filed plans for the 131,921-square-foot, 310-key hotel on May 15, 2007.
