Permit for 96-key hotel in Jamaica
Liberty Tuck NY LLC, on June 30, was given a permit for construction of a 96-key, 59,145-square-foot hotel at 104-16 Tuckerton Street in Jamaica. Tejpal Sandhu filed the plans.
The plans, pre-filed on October 14, 2020, call for the construction of an 84-foot tall, eight-story hotel.
The project is described in the filings as: this application is filed for new eight-story transient hotel with community facility (one zoning lot with two tax lots 15, 50 and air rights from lots 10, 12 and 58 under ZLDA CRFN #2015000343239).
Sandhu acquired the three parcels for just shy of $6 million on November 13, 2018. They were merged into a single tax lot this year. The developer took out a $4.2 million land loan at the time of the acquisition. No construction loan has been recorded.
According to the plans, the ground floor will have a lobby, lounge, reception area, and health care facility. Floors two through eight will each have 13 hotel rooms per floor. The cellar will have five hotel rooms, health care space, a laundry room, an exercise room, and a breakfast room.
M.S. Savani Architects PC is listed as the architect.
In February, the developer filed SI plans to combine tax lots 15, 19, and 50 into just 15 and 50, while maintaining one zoning lot.
