Permit for 64K sf school in East Harlem

East Harlem Tutorial Program, on March 18, was given a permit for construction of a 64,628-square-foot school at 2017 First Avenue in East Harlem. Jeff Ginsburg filed the plans.

The plans, pre-filed on April 23, 2020, call for the construction of an 87-foot tall, six-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: herewith filing for new building (high school).

Per the plans, the building will be used as a high school. The building will have a gym, cafeteria, and roof terrace.

Ennead Architects is the architect named.

No demolition plans have been filled yet.

The property was acquired with four other properties for $15.2 million on August 30, 2018.
