Permit for 35-unit resi building in Fordham Heights

JD Lin through the company 2436 Walton Avenue LLC, on March 10, was given a permit for construction of a 35-unit, 22,951-square-foot residential building at 2436 Walton Avenue in Fordham Heights, the Bronx.

The plans, pre-filed on March 10, 2020, call for the construction of an 85-foot tall, nine-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed nine-story with basement and cellar residential building. Total 35 dwelling units, obtain new certificate of occupancy.

Per the plans, floors one through eight will each have four dwelling units per floor, while the basement will have three dwelling units. The roof will provide recreational space, and the basement will have laundry.

Xiucheng Li of SD Design Studio is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition of the two-story structure that had occupied the property was completed last month.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.

The property was acquired for $615,000 on January 9, 2020.
