Permit for 24-unit resi building in Greenpoint

Guy Peleg through the entity Artlife 173-175 McGuinness LLC, on July 8, was given a permit for construction of a 24-unit, 20,108-square-foot residential building at 173 McGuinness Boulevard in Greenpoint.

Both new building and foundation permits were issued.

The plans, pre-filed on September 26, 2019, call for the construction of an 80-foot tall, eight-story residential building.

The project is described as: construct new eight-story residential use building as per plans filed.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have two dwelling units and recreation spaces. Floors two through four will each have four dwelling units per floor, the fifth and sixth floors will have three units each, while floors seven and eight will each have two dwelling units.

Issac & Stern Architects is listed as the architect.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.

The property was acquired for $2.2 million on January 31, 2019.
