Permit for 20-unit resi building in Astoria

Nicholas Notias, on June 7, was given a permit for construction of a 20-unit, 15,638-square-foot residential building at 28-15 35th Street in Astoria, Queens.

The permit issued was a plumbing permit. The developer received a new building permit on May 20.

The plans, pre-filed on June 1, 2017, call for the construction of a 60-foot tall, six-story, residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: filing herewith residential new building as per plans.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, recreation room, laundry room, and garage for 10 cars. Floors two through six will each have four dwelling units per floor, the second floor will also have a terrace. The roof will have recreation space.

Fischer + Makooi Architects is listed as the architect.

Demolition of the two-story building which previously occupied the property was completed in April.

The property was acquired with two other properties for $3 million on July 23, 2016.
