Park Tower Group permitted for 374-unit mixed-use building in Greenpoint

Park Tower Group, on June 25, was given a permit for construction of a 374-unit, 318,639-square-foot mixed-use building at 35 Commercial Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Guy Morton, vice president of construction at Park Tower Group, filed the plans.

The plans, pre-filed on April 3, 2020, call for the construction of a 213-foot tall, 22-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filing as: new 22-story residential building with commercial spaces at ground floor.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have multiple retail spaces, a residential lobby, courtyard, children’s room, office, recreation room, fitness room, and six dwelling units. The second floor will have 36 dwelling units, floors three through six will each have 39 dwelling units per floor, and floors seven through 22 will each have 11 dwelling units per floor.

Handel Architects is listed as the architect.

The lot is currently vacant.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.
