Paramount Group finishes $3.6M lobby renovation in Midtown West
Paramount Group, on August 3, formally completed a $3.6 million rehabilitation of one floor at 1325 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown West. The building has an alternate address of 138 West 54th Street.
The plans, pre-filed on August 23, 2018, call for a rehab of the ground floor lobby of the 460-foot tall, 46-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: architectural modifications (lobby renovation) as per plans. No change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,550,834.
The renovation was done by Gensler.
The building, with floor sizes ranging from 23,400 to 25,300 square feet, was constructed in 1989.
In May of 2018, McGraw-Hill, an educational publishing company, signed a lease to occupy more than 136,000 square feet in the building. The lease was for slightly more than 16 years and was for all of the fifth through ninth floors and part of the 12th floor.
