Olshan Properties permitted for 221-unit resi building in Parkchester

Olshan Properties, O’Connor Capital Partners and the NYC Housing Partnership, on April 13, were given a permit for construction of a 221-unit, 141,015-square-foot residential building at 1701 Purdy Street in Parkchester, the Bronx. Brett Buehrer of O’Connor Capital Partners filed the plans.

The plans, pre-filed on June 27, 2019, call for the construction of an 80-foot tall, eight-story residential building.

The project is described in the plans as: construct a new eight-story residential use building as per plans filed.

Per the plans, the ground floor will have a fitness room, multi-purpose room, computer room, and 10 dwelling units. Floors two through six will each have 31 dwelling units and laundry per floor. Floors seven and eight will both have 28 dwelling units and laundry per floor.

The dwelling units will be affordable units for seniors.

Dattner Architects is listed as the architect.

The lot is has been vacant since demolition plans were carried out in 2005.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.

The developer signed a loan agreement with lender New York City Housing Development Corporation valued at $93.6 million for the development in December.
