NYU Medical Center finishes $10M single-floor rehab of hospital in Kips Bay
The New York University Medical Center, on November 6, formally completed a $10 million rehabilitation of one floor of a hospital building, known as the Tisch Hospital, at 562 First Avenue in Kips Bay.
The plans, pre-filed on October 2, 2013, call for a rehab of the ground floor and work on the facade of the 228-foot tall, 19-story, building. From pre-file to completion was seven years.
The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation (MEP infrastructure Tisch 1 East) as per plans here filed. No change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $10 million.
Ennead Architects was the architect for the project.
Eight plans have been filed for rehab work at the hospital so far this year.
