NYU med center files plans for $2M work to Covid center at Kimmel Hospital
The New York University Langone Medical Center, on September 28, filed a permit application for a $2 million rehabilitation of one floor of a hospital building, known as Kimmel Hospital, at 424 East 34th Street in Kips Bay.
The plans call for a rehab of the ground floor of the 259-foot tall, 21-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: herewith filing for additional work that was left out of application # 140897527. Related to Covid-19 treatment center within Kimmel Hospital. No change to use, egress, or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,000,000.
The plans are related to a $2 million filing from April, which called for the addition of a Covid-19 treatment center to the building.
The architect listed is Perkins Eastman.
