NYC School Construction Authority filed plans for a $15M renovation of a building in Lower East Side

NYC School Construction Authority, on March 20, filed a permit application for a $15 million renovation of a building at 71 Hester Street in Lower East Side.

The plans call for a renovation of the 75-foot tall, 5-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: exterior masonry, roofing replacement, window replacement, waterproofing at foundation walls, door replacement at building entrances, relocating vent pipes at roof, relocating existing a/c units and electrical outlets, interior repairs. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $15,000,000.
