NYC finishes a $5.7M rehab of a school in Fordham

New York City School Construction Authority, on November 16, formally completed a $5.7 million rehabilitation of the Captain Manuel Rivera, Jr. school at 2100 Walton Avenue in Fordham, the Bronx.

The plans, pre-filed on January 16, 2018, call for a rehab of the sub-cellar, cellar, roof, and all five floors of the 70-foot tall, five-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: PS 279X selective roof replacement. Masonry repairs, roof fence barrier replacement, parapet repointing, waterproofing work at sub cellar and cellar walls. Metal coping, concrete repairs, and interior painting work. Vinyl tile flooring replacement. MH and PL filed separately. As per plans filed herewith. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $5,688,000.00.

The NYC SCA will handle the architecture in house.
