Plans filed for 22K sf mosque in Ozone Park
Nurray Yoosuf, on January 25, filed a permit application for a 22,662-square-foot community building at 135-58 Centreville Street in Ozone Park, Queens. The parcel is owned by the Nigerian Muslim Association, which bought it in December 2020 for $930,000.
The plans are one of 36 new building plans filed in Ozone Park in the previous 12 months.
The plans call for the construction of a 25-foot-tall, two-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00656479. The development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: new community facility building.
Per the plans, both floors of the building will be used for a house of worship. The cellar of the building will be used for a multi purpose hall.
The architect listed is Askon Architects, P.C.
The property was acquired for $930,000 in December of 2020.
