Nonprofit receives TCO for 30-unit residential building in Tremont
Neighborhood Restore Housing Development Fund Corporation, on January 13, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 30-unit, 24,512-square-foot residential building at 801 East 181st Street in Tremont. Salvatore D’Avola filed the application.
The nonprofit and its affiliate nonprofit entities (Neighborhood Renewal HDFC, Restored Homes HDFC, Restoring Communities HDFC, Preserving City Neighborhoods HDFC, and Project Rebuild, Inc.) work with the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development in an effort to transition properties from abandonment to third party ownership.
The plans, pre-filed on August 30, 2018, call for the construction of a 60-foot tall, six-story residential building.
The project is described in the filings as: a new six-story residential building.
The building’s cellar has an exercise room, laundry, and an office, per the plans. The ground floor has a lobby and five dwelling units. Floors two through six also each have five dwelling units per floor. The building also has recreation space outside.
Curtis + Ginsberg Architects is listed as the architect.
