Mutual of America fully permitted for $10.2M project to add fitness center, juice bar to 320 Park Ave
Mutual of America, on February 11, was given a permit for a $10.2 million project which will add a fitness center, juice bar, and place of assembly to its office building, known as the Mutual of America Building, at 320 Park Avenue in the Plaza District.
The plans, pre-filed on October 13, 2020, call for work on floors one, 16, and the cellar of the 435-foot tall, 34-story, 656,436-square-foot building.
The project is described in the filings as: filing herewith an alteration type 1 for a change in occupancy group on floors cellar, first and 16th. Scope includes a new non-public assembly fitness center, accessory to the office tenants only, in the cellar, a new accessory juice bar in the street floor lobby and a new place of assembly on the 16th floor and existing terrace setback. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $10,224,555.
The project will add a fitness center to the cellar, juice bar to the ground floor, and place of assembly to the 16th floor of the building.
Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is listed as the architect.
The firm filed seven A1 and A2 plans at the building last year.
