Morgan Stanley files plans for $1.9M multi-floor rehab of office building in Garment District

Morgan Stanley, on November 2, filed a permit application for a $1.9 million rehabilitation of two floors of commercial space of their office building at 2 Park Avenue in the Garment District.

The plans, pre-filed by the landlord brokerage firm Cushman & Wakefield, call for a rehab of floors 10 and 19 of the 290-foot tall, 29-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation of 10th and 19th floor commercial spaces as per plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $1,935,000.

Design Republic will be the architect.

Bookspan, a book marketing company, subleased 27,000-square-feet of space on the 10th floor back in 2013.

Morgan Stanley purchased the 850,000-square-foot property in 2007 from L&L Holding Company for $565 million
