Mordechai Fuchs plans six mixed-use buildings in Midwood

Mordechai Fuchs plans to build six mixed-use developments spanning several lots including 2586 Nostrand Avenue in Midwood, Brooklyn.

The buildings will all be seven-stories, according to the plans. The development site is part of 12 adjacent lots on tax block 7647, fronting on Avenue L and Nostrand Avenue. The plans also list 372 Greenpoint Avenue, which is located on a separate tax block.

The plans were disclosed in a zoning map amendment (ZM) from R4/C2-2 to R7A/C2-4 and a zoning text amendment (ZR) to Appendix F of the zoning resolution to to facilitate the new buildings. The CEQR fee was paid on July 20, 2020.

The only new building plans filed with the NYC Department of Buildings on any of the 12 lots came on February 21, 2017. The plans, filed by Mordechai Fuchs, call for a 2-story, 4,200-square-foot commercial building. The plans were never permitted and do not seem to be part of these current larger development plans.
