Monadnock permitted for 99K sf office in Gowanus

Monadnock Development, on May 18, received a permit for construction of a 99,646-square-foot office building at 240 Huntington Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Nicholas Lembo, Monadnock’s founder, was the owner representative on the filing.

The plans called for the construction of the largest building in Gowanus in 2020.

The plans, pre-filed on February 21, 2020, call for the construction of an 86-foot tall, six-story office building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new six-story building per plans filed herewith.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, coffee shop, and multiple retail spaces. The upper floors of the building will be used for office space. The building will also have multiple outdoor recreation spaces.

The property was acquired for $9.5 million on May 1, 2017.
