$5.5M fit-out filed for new Target store facing Union Square

On May 18, plans for a $5.5 million fit-out for Target were filed at the Zeckendorf Towers at 10 Union Square East in Gramercy, Manhattan. The building has an alternate address of 1 Irving Place. The retail condominium unit is owned by Empire State Realty Trust.

PincusCo first reported that Target would take about 33,000 square feet at the building, which faces Union Square. The NY Post later reported that the nearly 16-year lease was signed for space that had an asking rent of $163 per square foot. The retail giant is slated to officially move in next year.

The plans call for work on the ground floor of the 300-foot-tall, 27-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00709470.
